Barn renovation

Set on the edge of a small Wiltshire village with far-reaching views across the Marlborough Downs, this barn renovation project focused on unlocking the potential of the existing barn conversion while respecting its agricultural heritage. Careful work to the original Elm structural frame allowed the interior to be reimagined, creating generous open-plan living spaces that feel warm, practical and full of natural light. New windows and glazed openings were introduced to strengthen the connection between inside and out, drawing in views of the surrounding landscape and giving the home a renewed sense of openness. Exposed timber beams, clean contemporary finishes and a dramatic open living area combine to create a calm, elegant interior where historic structure and modern design sit comfortably together.
