People

We’re fortunate to have an exceptionally talented, dedicated and friendly team – you’re only as good as the people you work with

Mike

Founding Director

Mike grew up in a 1960s house with creative parents who had a penchant for mid-century Scandinavian furniture. He earned his stripes on a wide range of projects in London before starting a new life in Wiltshire with his wife, Amanda, and their three boys. He gets his adrenaline fix from cycling and exercises his vocal chords with a local acapella choir. Mike qualified as a registered Architect in 1991.

Amanda

Founding Director

Amanda honed her skills on a variety of projects in the capital after training as an architect in London and Brighton. She moved to Wiltshire with Mike and their young family to co-found a new practice and set down roots in this beautiful county. In her spare time, Amanda draws, throws pots and grows an assortment of vegetables. She’s a keen golfer and supports Arsenal FC from a safe distance. Amanda qualified as a registered Architect in 1993.

Adrian

Associate Director

Adrian studied at the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff and Birmingham City University. He has a broad range of experience working at award-winning, design-led practices on large scale urban design projects through to small scale residential extensions. Adrian brings great technical experience and rigour to the practice ensuring the delivery of beautiful buildings. Adrian qualified as a registered Architect in 2009.

Oliver

Senior Architect

Oliver joined Milton in 2017. His architectural pedigree is impressive having first worked for Grimshaws on major, international transport hub projects in London and Melbourne, then an award-winning practice in Wimbledon working on high-quality residential developments. Olly’s a keen runner, footballer, Everton fan and proud father of two boys. Oliver qualified as a registered Architect in 2007.

Eleanor

Architect

Eleanor joined us in 2019 after six years working on high-end residential properties in a London practice. Her attention to architectural detail and organised approach to her work bring a keen focus to the design studio. She balances her professional career with raising her family and has a keen interest in art and literature. She has had an illustrious netball career and is a fiendish skier. Eleanor qualified as a registered Architect in 2015.

Kathryn

Architect

Kathryn joined us in 2022 from Hampshire County Architects where she’d been working for a number of years on publicly financed projects for the County. She has two children so also juggles her professional and home life. Kathryn won a silver medal for Britain at the 2004 world karate championships but now prefers drawing, gardening and walks in the countryside. Kathryn qualified as a registered Architect in 2014.

Amelia

Amelia came to Milton in 2023 after 6 years working for an award-winning Architect in Bath. A graduate of the Welsh School of Architecture, Amelia has excellent professional skills that have been honed on a wide variety of projects at all stages of the architectural process. Amelia qualified as a registered Architect in 2020.

Emma

Practice Manager

Emma is our Practice Manager and the reason the office runs like a well-oiled machine. She joined us in 2013, adding the benefit of her impressive business administration and accounting experience to our studio – not to mention her peerless cake-making skills. Emma is a Glasto veteran (where her husband, Dave, runs one of the stages) and frequently hob-nobs with bona fide music celebs.
